Memories of excess water shiggy, more shiggy, wet feet and a muddy car park the last time we ran from here, more favourable conditions today so there wasn't much the Hare could do wrong was there???? It all began with a leisurely stroll across the busy Chalerm Prakiet Road into Soi 55 and to Wat Kaew Pitak where the trail was rumoured to begin, no Hares but a well marked on on and led by our esteemed GM we were off…

Along the familiar klong path at this stage now led by KC also given added responsibility for the hash horn, who didn't let the paper and arrows become a hindrance, in fact I doubt if he even noticed, so the checks didn't work and we became rather strung out.

Then there was this little ditch to jump before descending into tracks around the fish ponds that are a common feature of areas to the South of Bangkok, but the Gooseman didn't quite make it slowly slid backwards and took a rather unpleasant early bath. A while later Bad Boy B came rushing by as we carefully negotiated a track thru long green grass despite the questionable wisdom of said manoeuvre in rough terrain and took a dive that Ronaldo would have been proud of. The checks had began to work well by now and had Man called Horse with an E running everywhere while the Tickler was seen on occasions not usually going in the same direction as everyone else and even Todd was up there checking with the pack as we closed to the on in.

A good hash in nice country of about 6 Km with the pack back in daylight in 45 minutes. I was into my third beer and darkness was fast descending before Nibbles and Normal wandered in and Seko last back; I got lost but it was ok I was helped by some nice policemen.

Circle time and the run approved as excellent, POW went to Roberto Forget me Not Guzman for forgetting that you absolutely cannot nominate the RA for POW. By this stage he made a sad figure the worse for wear having done a number of Down Downs already.

Volunteers were called for and the aforementioned Roberto the Gooseman came forward or was it everyone else stepped back. Anyway we now have a hare for the 19th and he will be assisted by AKM.
