On Sunday the hare Ladyboy changed his run location so we could attend Cap'n Erik's swiftly arranged Bathing Rites at Wat Nuan Chan. There was a big turnout of BMH3 members who did the run plus a few who came just for the ceremony including The Senator, Man Called Horse, Bullit, Checkless, Suffle and Agent Orange.

The run was to be an A to B starting from the wat and finishing at a restaurant a kilometer south. Shortly after the 4:50pm start, there was a treacherous crossing of the busy road under the Chalongrat expressway that caused me to bail on the trail and head directly south towards the B point, so not much commentary to offer on the trail. Given the circumstances, the hares did well to cobble together a Hash run in unfamiliar and unrecced territory.

Access to the parking lot across from the restaurant was thwarted by the orange plastic traffic cones at the entrance being bolted to the ground. So another location farther down the road was selected. A quick circle was held with 4x2 standing in for our absent RAs and another New Boot Mr. Bean was welcomed to the flock and also awarded Prick of the Week. Those wanting to attend the 6pm chanting ceremony headed back to the wat and the rest went on to the restaurant.

A good meal of standard Thai fare was enjoyed at the roadside restaurant and plenty of Leo beer was imbibed in honor of our fallen comrade Cap'n Erik. Thank you hares Ladyboy and Harelip for going beyond the call of duty under exceptional circumstances. As usual, everything works out in the end on the Hash.
