Was it really that bad – f_ck yes.

The 1st check was 200 meters from the start of the run
An indication of the cock up that was surely to come
A single arrow and 2 lots of paper
Then the 2nd check 300 meters later
This check was so bad that in the confusion
A call to the hares was the only solution
Now on our way down the side of the klong
The next balls up came quickly along
At check No 3 some went straight on
Others decided to go over the khlong
No arrows or paper showed up yet
But bugger me - another check
At this point the best choice was to do my own run
Who knows what the hares would have marked or have done
Half an hour in now so time to head back
And what do you know I picked up the track
I made it home for a well-deserved beer
But half the pack still were not here
By now it was late and dark at the piss truck
Runners without torches were fresh out of luck
The circle was started way after seven
And still missing were the two boys from heaven
The locals were angry at the hashers with cars
They claimed the parking spots were all theirs
Not a great run but one thing was a winner
The hares had volunteered to sponsor the dinner
As I left the site, heading home my intention
The god squad were seen – divine intervention
On on!
