Run:- 2173, 18 August 2025
Location:- Onnut/Pattanakan, Tum20
Hare:- Klong Dump

It was a rainy Monday afternoon as I headed for the eastern suburbs of Bangkok. There was easy access to Hua Mak via the airport link. I paid my 20 baht and got there quite quickly. It was another 10 baht for a white songtaew, which stopped right in front of the restaurant, after going around the spaghetti junction onto Onnut at Pattanakan.

Rain drizzled down so most Hashers hung out under cover at the restaurant to avoid the wet parking lot. The hare Khlong Dump was resetting the trail after his first attempt had been washed away by torrential rains in the afternoon. Some wondered would we be heading west towards the BMA garbage dump or south towards the park, but no, it was to be eastward, down a long stretch of Onnut.

The FRBs included Hand Cream, Eetan, and Here for Beer, who was solving checks correctly, unlike last week. We ran through suburban Bangkok, down klong paths, and through some very large puddles of water. Given the conditions, most Hashers were happy with the short, under 5 km, trail.

As the circle commenced, Khlong Dump was congratulated for a good run and taking us to a newish area. And also for finally retiring so he can run more with the Hashes of Bangkok. The sole repeat visitor was Mr. Bean, an American residing in Pattaya, who is thinking of relocating to Bangkok. To discourage him from moving here, Mr. Bean was awarded prick of the week by The Senator.

The circle adjourned and those staying headed to Tum20 restaurant, where I'm told the food was good Isarn fare and the hare subsidized the meal. Thank you Bengt for a great BMH3 evening.
