Hashers started tricking into Suan Koi restaurant. First to arrive Noriega and Cyprus Fred, No Meat asked how long the run was as they , No Meat and Weedy had some big property deal to close and they would be leaving before the circle. Love Bug/Jeannine then arrived (with Fred Perry?) to be told that there was a “race” on to see who would leave first after the run. Seeing an opportunity to salvage her tarnished reputation she gallantly allowed The Linda Brothers © to leave first.
AKM phoned the hare’s hod carrier “I can’t see a gas station and I’m at Soi 75. LC “Well we are at soi 70 and I can’t see the nearest odd soi number. A conversation ensued about the odd/even numbering system allowing enough time for the taxi to travel the extra half a kilo or so to the run site.
Dunkin Donut arrived just as the pack was leaving, throwing his car keys at someone who looked like the hare. GOJ was last to arrive, just after hash Piss Normal. GOJ “How do I solve the first check?”
LC “Can you wait a moment? Normal wants someone to run with.” LC “George, George” (Insert your own mental image of GOJ trying to break his own PB for the 100m whilst crouching low behind parked cars).
Normal” Where’s George?”
LC “????? Well he was just here”I don’t know what happened on the run as I didn’t do it. BUT…. The trail was mostly on concrete klong-side paths through some quiet coconut plantations, GOJ and Hash Hash got lost on the main road. Not believing the hare had laid the trail through a construction site complete with large crane. Eventually they walked far enough and found the trail again.
No Meat arrived back first (35mins) closely followed by AKM (or was it the other way round?) ,Beefeater, Weedeater, et al. The peleton arrived soon after so the run kept the pack together. As promised No Meat/Weedy beat Jeannine in the LeMans style, pre-circle dash from the parking lot. The circle was called by the GM-elect Beefeater who as ranking person stood in for the absent GM. By now the second bottle of Tiger was percolating through my system so the circle became a bit hazy. The only visitor and virgin hasher the Fred Perry look-a-like replete with white shirt and shorts as brought to the run by Jeannine. POW went to ????? Apologies if this was your first time and the occasion meant something deeper. About 14 retired to the adjacent restaurant where a table full of older, plumper Thai ladies were sizing up Noriega. Eventually trying to get his attention by singing (quietly) lullabies on the Karaoke box.
