My taxi pulled up at the Fish Head Restaurant. The first
person who greeted me was Hash Hash Brooce Dubya, looking and sounding like
a modern-day Jeff Spicoli in the Land of the Lotus Eaters (which would make
a great sequel!). Also present was Weedeater, more subdued and less
high-minded than usual without his Linda Brother as company. The start of
proceedings was called at 5:30 by our GM No Good Boyo, fresh from
demonstrating the Welsh Haka to a rather obstreperous Kiwi at the Down Under
Pub on Saturday night.
The run as laid by Androoow "No No" Morrison was a linear
dash along concrete. With not a backcheck to keep the pack within sight of
each other (That's what hashing's also about, isn't it?), most of us soon
gave up and retreated back to the beer. I had only recently recovered from a
terrible cold which had kept me out of Shebasthion's outstation, so I
trotted along with only Noriega as company. We made it back in about an
hour. Most of the circle afterwards was inaudible due to the roar of the
traffic echoing off the multiple concrete levels of the Bangna-Trad highway.
One of the highlights I did manage to pick up was the downdown given to
Golden Shower for borrowing Hash Hash's shirt and returning it to him a week
later claiming she didn't know how to iron it! Prick of the Week was awarded
to Weedeater for looking like that Canadian pedophile.
On On On to the Fish Head Restaurant with some great food.
The entertainment for once wasn't provided by our table, but by a large
group of drunken Thai men handing downdowns to each other. One of them was
inevitably thrown into the fish pond by his friends.
