Run:- 1227. Date:- 25 September 2006.
Location:- Wat Kaew Pitak, Soi Udomsuk.
Hares:- Nid and Finn Sorensen
Scribe:- Anon5:30 sharp JM Sugar Daddy attempted a coup on BMH3, saying he was taking over. Immediate cries of “Auk Pai, Auk Pai” were heard from the assembled masses. Several visitors were running for shelter. But soon it settled down and the pack was off down the khlong, past the houses and the dogs into some of my favorite territory. Nonstop, the hash horn, was back with the horn and could be heard.
The hares cleverly led the pack around some long ponds, past some goats and on down towards the big khlong. At this point on the big khlong, being familiar with the area, I figured a right handed loop would be very long and end on a lot of concrete and roadway. A left handed loop offered farms, ponds and gravel roads. I opted for the left handed loop and several of us made it back to the beer in just under an hour.
Soon after AKM, Pussy Virus and a few more came in on paper. All visitors – there were many today – made it back safely and were happy with the run. Good job Finn and Nid. Almost as usual Sebastion and George of the Jungle decided to give us a twenty minute head start – they are such athletes. Sebastion came back in good time, but G of the J took longer and did not make it until the circle had started. An attempt by Sugar Daddy to start the circle early and get everyone home before curfew was put down, single handedly by Crash Daley. There were superb snacks available from Nibbles.
The circle was finally started and the hares – Flying Finn and Sizzler had their down down. Returners included Hymen Hacker, Duke of Puke, and a few more with less colourful names had a down down. There were several runners who managed to raise the average height of this hash a few inches. You really had to look up to them. They had a down down. Two new boots joined this evening. I didn’t get their names or details, but welcome. RA Matt was in good form. First chastizing Sugar Daddy for his pathetic attempt to take over. He brought the same vertically enhanced group in as the US women’s basketball team. A few more down downs were offered on an entertaining evening. Thanks Matt.
The On On On was the usual restaurant across the street, where they continually had to add tables for the excellent turnout. Good food, good service and good beer (they had Chang). To the relief of all, Our magnificent leader 4 by 2 made it to the On On On. A great evening. Thanks Finn and Nid.
