Misdirections to the sala near the Khao Kiew Zoo

Hare Maarten “Sir Bogdiver” B, Co-hare Ian ‘AKM” S. This is a long weekend (Chulalongkorn Day). The runsite is at the sala near the Khao Kiew open zoo, 12 km past the end of the Chonburi motorway.

ATTENTION: RUN STARTS AT 16:00, 1½ HOUR EARLIER THEN NORMAL

GPS coordinates: N13˚13’40” E101˚2’52”

Go to the end of the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway and turn left onto the Chonburi Bypass direction Pattaya.

After 6.6 km turn left just before the first flyover and zero your odometer.

After 0.5km bear right following the road.

At 1.8 km turn left.

At 3.7km turn right at the Y-junction.

At 4.4km turn left into Soi 5.

At 5.7km this turns into a dirt road, just keep going.

At 6km park near the hares camry next to a sala.

The ononon is on site and catered by Nibbles & Crash.

Alternative directions for Monday in case the motorway has flooded.

Take the Bang Na Trat expressway direction Chon Buri.

Go up the elevated expressway running above Bang Na Trat and follow this till the end.

When you come down continue for 2 or 3 km till you get a sign for Pattaya.

Exit onto the frontage road and turn left towards Pattaya.

You are now on the Chon Buri bypass road.

Continue for 16 km where you get the junction with the Bangkok – Pattaya motorway (#7).

Go straight and after 6.6 km turn left just before the first flyover and zero your odometer.

After 0.5km bear right following the road.

At 1.8 km turn left.

At 3.7km turn right at the Y-junction.

At 4.4km turn left into Soi 5.

At 5.7km this turns into a dirt road, just keep going.

At 6km park near the hares camry next to a sala.
